A Chromo-pack GC is operated with three columns in series, packed with HayeSep and Molecular sieve. Following sample injection, backflush and heat-cut techniques are performed using two 10 port switching valves. After separation, components are led to a hydrogen-fed Ni catalyst (methanizer) where CO2 and CO are converted to CH4. Final detection is done by means of a flame ionization detector(FID). | |
