 The 222Rn analyzer is calibrated by cross-checking with an 222Rn analyzer already calibrated at Nagoya University, Japan.
 Raw data of 218Po counting in 10 minutes time frame are converted to the 222Rn concentration (mBq m-3), and the data are averaged for one-hour at one-hour interval. In the procedure, raw 10-minute interval 222Rn concentration data affected by system maintenances or troubles are regarded as invalid.
 [Hourly] In each one hour time frame, valid 10-minute data are temporally interpolated, adding two data before and after the time frame, and the hourly mean is caluculated. The uncertainty of the hourly data is given by the standard error, which is calculated using valid data existing in the one hour time frame.

 Operational/Reporting
 A high-precision 222Rn measurement system developed by the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) and the Meteorological Research Institute (MRI) of Japan (Wada et al., 2010), was used to continuously monitor atmospheric 222Rn concentrations. The system employs the electrostatic collection method, which collects positively charged progenies of 222Rn in sample air on a PIN photodiode with a high negative voltage applied, and detects alpha particles emitted by progeny nuclides. Data obtained every 10 minutes were averaged for one-hour at one-hour interval. The detection limit, based on the definition by Currie (1968), is 0.16 Bq m-3 for one hour. Analyzers are calibrated by cross-checking with an analyzer calibrated at Nagoya University, Japan.
