1983 WMO/Scripps mole fraction scale Working standard gases are calibrated yearly against the secondary standard. The working gases and four CO2-in-synthetic air standard gases were initially calibrated at SIO in 1981. During flask mesasurement procedure, the analyzer is calibrated hourly with 3 working gases. |

The reported data are the mean of the CO2 concentrations measured in two simultaneously sampled flasks, if the difference between them is less or equal to 1 ppm. Otherwise, the lower of the two measured values is taken as a daily value if does not differ from the smoothed concentration curve for more than 2 standard deviations. Technically invalid data are excluded. | |

Following flag is used for daily data: S - difference between concentrations in two simultaneously sampled flasks is more than 1 ppm, the lower of the two measured values is taken as a daily value.
