1983 WMO/Scripps mole fraction scale Working standard gases are calibrated yearly against the secondary standard.The working gases and four standard gases (CO2 in-synthetic air) were initially calibrated at SIO in 1981. During flask measurement procedure, the analyzer is calibrated hourly with 3 working gases. |

| The reported data are the mean of the two CO2 concentrations measured in two simultaneously sampled flasks, if the difference between them is less or equal to 1 ppm. Otherwise, the lower of the two measured values is taken as a daily value. Technically invalid data are excluded. | |
