The calibration is performed with a standard mixture furnished by the CMDL-NOAA group, Boulder, Colorado.
Four measurements on each sample are performed and the mean value and standard deviation are calculated and reported.
Sequence of analysis alternates measurements of the primary standard with aliquots of the sample according to the following scheme:

Bracketing of sample values with standard measurements are used for calibration (i.e. sample1 and sample2 values are calculated referring to a calibration curve obtained form the mean of standard_a and standard_b areas).


The reported values are the arithmetic mean of the 4 measurements (sample1-4) carried out on each flask sample.
 Samples have been collected in pairs until 9/9/05. Since 16/09/05 only one canister has been collected at each sampling event.Four measurements on each sample are performed and the mean value and standard deviation are calculated and reported.

 Samples are collected weekly in 6 L stainless steel canisters, whose internal walls are passivated by means of a silcosteel layer.
The canisters are first evacuated and then pressurized to 300 kPa. The samples are dried using a magnesium perchlorate trap.
Mixing molar ratio is determined at the Laboratory in Rome (ENEA-Casaccia).
