The Picarro is calibrated with seven NOAA WMO X2007 primary gas standards, to reach the 5 minutes average standard deviation threshold, each for up to 15 minutes, by two cycles of measure. The new calibration was calculated according to "Revision of the World Meteorological Organization Global Atmosphere Watch (WMO/GAW) CO2 calibration scale" B.D. Hall et al. 2021, https://doi.org/10.5194/amt-14-3015-2021, using the linear function X2019 = 1.00079 x X2007 - 0.142 (ppm) and the minimum uncertainty of 0.1 was assigned to all data. |
|
The only selection applied refers to the consistency of values of pairs: if difference is more than 0.5 ppmv, the values are rejected.
[Hourly] [Daily] [Monthly] In case that there was only one input value for the monthly mean, the "Value_unc" is the standard deviation of the single data collected on that day. |

Operational/Reporting
Air samples are taken every Friday with two pairs of glass flasks through a chemical water vapor trap, and pressurized at 280-300 kPa. CO2 concentration is determined at the Laboratory in Lampedusa (ENEA). Instrument type is CRDS analyzer Picarro G2401. Water vapor is removed by a cold trap (-65 °C) in the measuring phase. The range is set to 356-406 ppm, the resolution is +/- 0.01 ppm Measurement Method : Light absorption analysis (IR, except NDIR) |

Meteorological data may remain as first provided, even when greenhouse gas data are updated. The intake height for air sample collection is 10 meters above ground level (55 meters above sea level). |
