two calibration gases are measured every 25 hours for 15 minutes each; a target tank is measured 4 times a day for 15 min each. Nominal values of the references gases are assigned by the GAW World Calibration Centre for Surface Ozone, Carbon Monoxide, Methane, Carbon Dioxide and Nitrous Oxide (WCC-Empa) in Switzerland.
Quality assurance procedures involve time series plots, target gas analysis, and consistency checks. No drying is applied to the sample prior to analysis. Dry air mole fractions are calculated by correcting for dilution and spectroscopic interferences of water vapour.
[Hourly] All aggregate calculations are based on 10-minute aggregates with greater than 75% availability. Hourly data are discarded when less than 2 10-min averages are available. nvalue gives the number of available 10-minute averages for each specific hour. [Daily] Daily data are discarded when less than 16 hourly averages are available. nvalue gives the number of available hourly averages for each specific day. [Monthly] Monthly data are discarded when less than 18 daily averages are available. nvalue gives the number of available daily averages for each specific month. |

Operational/Reporting
Instrument is a cavity ring‐down spectrometer (CRDS) using a quantum cascade laser (QCL) operating in the mid‐infrared. There is one instrument that alternately samples from two heights above ground (212 and 5 m). The instrument is capable of simultaneously measuring the water vapour content in the sample. No drying is applied to the sample prior to analysis. Dry air mole fractions are calculated through correction for spectroscopic interferences due to water vapour.

Meteorological data may remain as first provided, even when greenhouse gas data are updated. Wind measurements as part of the meteorological dataset are performed by the University of Bern. |
