All the hydrographic data of 1990 to 1996 fiscal year have been subjected to well quality control. This work was carried out by Data Quality Control Working Group (Leader:H.Tsubota) in NOPACCS Exective Committee. Unit for each item is as follows; TIC : µmole/kg (25°C) Total alkalinity (ALK) : µmole/kg Temperature(ST) : degree Salinity(SS) : psu Sampling depth (WP) : 10^4 Pa (db) |

Total carbonate content was measured on board following the phosphoric acid-helium purging method using a gas-chromatograph with TCD as a detector, Shimadzu Model GC-14 with auto-sampler. Scientific Aim: Conducting researches on the absorption of CO2 to the ocean and behavior and cycle of the carbon in the ocean. The depth of the original data in 1996 is reported in pressure depth. The density of pressure depth is converted into "m" for uniformity simply from "44 Unesco Technical Papers in Marine Science (1983)". |

Meteorological data may remain as first provided, even when greenhouse gas data are updated. The depth of the original data in 1996 is reported in pressure depth. The density of pressure depth is converted into "m" for uniformity simply from "44 Unesco Technical Papers in Marine Science (1983)". |
