MRI 1987 mole fraction scale, the relation to the WMO scale will be cleared after the result of intercomparison "Round Robbin".
Four standard gases (CO2 in natural air) traceable to the WMO mole fraction scale were used.

|Underway measurements of CO2 in surface seawater (pCO2_w) and overlying air (pCO2_a) were carried out with the system consisting of a non-dispersive infra-red gas analyzer (NDIR gas analyzer), a shower-head type equilibrator, diaphragm pumps, electric dehumidifiers, Nafion tubing (Perma Pure Inc.), a chemical desiccant column (Mg(ClO4)2), and a data acquisition unit connected to a PC and associated instrumentation.|
