Standard gases used: Mixed gas of methane and purified natural air Until 2016: Measuring a set of 3 standard gases with different concentrations, every hour. From 2017: Measuring a set of 3 standard gases with different concentrations, every 12-hour. A linear regression line is determined from the result of calibration. The mole fraction of methane is determined using the linear regression line. |

| The measurements for air and surface sea water are carried out. The height of intake for air sample is 8 meters above sea surface. The depth of the intake for sea water sample is about 4 meters below sea surface. The tubing for air sample is made of fluorinated ethylene - perfluoroalkoxyethylene copolymer (PFA). The inner diameter, outer diameter of the tubing are 19/64 inches and 3/8 inches, respectively. The length of the tubing is approximately 40 meters. The sea water is introduced into the equilibrator. Both introduced ambient air and equilibrated air are dried using electronic cooling unit, perma pure dryer and chemical desiccant (Mg(ClO4)2). | |
