Our site is located in Osaka University Suita Campus (elevation: approximately 63 m). It it situated approximately 10 km north of the city center in Osaka, the second most populated region in Japan.
It is mainly surrounded by a suburban residential area and partly by small woodlands. Annual precipitation was 1493 mm. Annual mean temperature was 16.3 C in 2006 at a JMA automated meteorological station (AMeDAS) approximately 8 km west of the site. Ambient air was introduced from a sample inlet installed at 23.6 m above ground on the north-faced wall of a seven-story building. |
